About Robert Emil Harris
Began carpentry at 16 working for local contractors. Started a cabinetry business in 1979 with a friend focusing on detailed residential kitchen cabinetry.
Expanded the business in 1983 with focus on specialized millwork for high-end architectural interiors and cabinetry, including large kitchens and libraries with extensive moldings and millwork.
Continued expansion through 1990 with specialized attention on kitchen design and craftsmanship. Began fabricating his own specialized cabinetry for high-end residential installations.
Introduced to and accepted the superior quality of the Pennsylvania-based Plain & Fancy line of quality crafted cabinets in 1999. This union marked a pinnacle where Rob's experience in design and custom millwork is combined with a company specializing in quality custom cabinetry. The result is Schankmacher Design, where homeowners can expect the highest quality cabinetry merged with a deep understanding of kitchen design and quality custom millwork.
Today, Schankmacher Design is committed to designing kitchens that meet or exceed the homeowner's expectations.
